Lyra was always very independent and hated asking for help, but did when she needed it. She grew up with a big family of 6, her, her twins sister Camille who she didn't always get along with, her twin brothers Jack and James, and her mother and father. She had no really life changing experiences as a child, she never really cared to make many friends until she got to Hogwarts, and she always believed that house elves were the cutest creatures.

She is very smart and music is a big part in her life. She explains her situations through songs she hears or writes. She is misunderstood very easily.

Lyra sat at the lake looking out at the big blue sky and dark lake. She couldn't help but notice a few mermaids were swimming close to the surface. She was always fascinated by the creatures and tried to get a closer look without scaring them off.
